The third main entry in this cooperative shooter RPG series is to be upgraded as the Borderlands 3 Xbox One X Enhanced release is confirmed as the official tracking list on Xbox has it noted. The game is listed as being “Available Now" for an enhancement and that isn't surprising since so many titles are starting to see support, especially within the genre. This especially isn’t surprising as every other game in the franchise was enhanced at once. For now we have full details as its "Available Now" with support for a 4k resolution and HDR support. It has two options, performance and resolution. While it aims for 4k in the resolution option, it outputs 1800p at 30fps. The performance option brings 1080p at 60fps for a target. Support for two player splitscreen and seamless four players online multiplayer with potential cross-play. There will also be VRR enabled with this release.
The game will be enhanced right upon launch as opposed to post. For context, Borderlands 3 starts on Pandora many years after the last main entry concluded. There’s a brand new squad of vault hunters and things are about to get expanded upon. The core crew also returns, seeing aged versions of the characters and it’s about to get wild. There are more guns, larger worlds and all the insane action you’d expect from this franchise. The Borderlands 3 Xbox One X enhanced releases on September 13, 2019 on Xbox One platforms.
