Calgary Cineplex East Hills Open and Theater Details

The Calgary Cineplex East Hills theater opens on April 20, 2018 bringing a brand new cinema to those in that area of the city (location: 205 E Hills Blvd SE, Calgary, AB T2A 4X7). This 30,000 square foot facility features luxury recliner seats and support for 3D, UltraAVX, D-BOX and ATMOS. This is an exciting new addition that will bring a special first-of-its-kind auditorium designed specifically for families with young children during Summer 2018. The core of the theater's six of seven total auditoriums will be available from the initial launch date. In addition to the traditional movie going experience the theater also features an XSCAPE Entertainment Centre where guests can use coinless play-card technology to earn and redeem points on over 30 games and attractions.

The food selection will be somewhat traditional with Outtakes Backstage Bistro and Cineplex's new Melt Sweet Creations concept, which specializes in indulgent desserts. With that here's a statement about the opening and a tease at a future renovation for another location; "We are so pleased to open our newest theatre in East Hills," said Ellis Jacob, President and CEO, Cineplex. "And with renovations set to begin at Cineplex Odeon Crowfoot Crossing Cinemas later this month, Calgary movie-lovers can look forward to an exciting new range of entertainment options to choose from across the city."
