The latest remastering effort within the Infinity Ward series is to be upgraded as the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Xbox One X Enhanced release is confirmed as the official tracking list on Xbox has it noted. The game is listed as being supported through the program which has become a standard for most titles that have released at this point.
To a degree, it’s expected to see these sort of upgrades available for games now, and going forward into the future. These are the full details that are currently provided in regards to the enhancement upgrade with support for a 4k resolution at 60fps with HDR support being enabled. There are improved textures, animations and physically based rendering. This includes high dynamic range lighting and many smaller tweaks to the well loved release. There is no support for VRR in this.
The game will be enhanced right upon launch as opposed to post. For context, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is the latest title to be given a remastering within Infinity Ward’s signature series. It follows Task Force 141 with classic characters such as Soap, Price and of course Ghost. This is one global experience where players engage in dangerous fronts on one massive scale war.
