The latest addition to the Xbox Backwards Compatible games library is now available bringing a single new title to the program. Now as of March 29, 2018 we have one fresh title available on Xbox One and further consoles sourced from the Xbox 360. The list includes Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare as a Xbox Backwards Compatible game. This means you can input the disc or just download it digitally if previously owned to enjoy the game once more. The game is both disc or digital based, you can also install previously owned digital content from it such as maps or cosmetic items from the ready to install portion of the game area. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will run exactly like how it did on Xbox 360, yet perform much better overall.
In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare players are attempting to deal with the threat of global dangerous weapons by working through an intense and groundbreaking campaign. This title truly cemented the franchise and set the pace for shooters after its release. Whether that was the intense narrative following a small group of soldiers across many situations or the glorious multiplayer. This online experience changed the first person shooter genre setting a new standard. There were custom classes, prestiges and addictive competitive options. It should also be noted that a remastered version is also available. The game should be available to play right away though it may take some time for the servers to fully refresh for them, but they should all be available as of the posted date above. This title joins over 460 titles available on the program and it continues to grow all the time.
