With the dropping of a campaign and a focus on multiplayer the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Xbox One X Enhanced release is confirmed as the official tracking list on Xbox has it noted down. The game is set to launch on October 12, 2018 with just a single base game package at the moment. This should be another excellent showcase of visuals on the console following a similar plan to what WWII brought. The game will support a focus for 4k resolution (most likely dynamic) at 60fps with HDR10 support. This is what is currently noted, no mention of VRR yet.
This is a very different take on the franchise as it will only be presenting multiplayer content. This includes a series of zombie maps making this a large initial offering there. IX, Voyage of Despair, and Blood of the Dead are the undead maps. There will be the traditional competitive multiplayer with futuristic weapons and tools. The final part of this package is the Battle Royale bringing the largest Call of Duty map ever being a celebration of the Black Ops history. There will be vehicles with that last mode which is a big change-up as they're rarely featured in the games.
