Canadian Filmmaker Toni Myers Receives Order of Canada

As of February 11, 2019 the Canadian Filmmaker Toni Myers has been recognized by receiving the prestigious “Order of Canada”. This ”is one of our country’s highest civilian honours. Its Companions, Officers and Members take to heart the motto of the Order: DESIDERANTES MELIOREM PATRIAM (“They desire a better country”).”

For context, throughout her career she has had a hand in directing, writing, producing and editing eighteen IMAX films. She’s worked with some of the top Hollywood talent of today including the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. She has worked with and trained 145 astronauts and cosmonauts in filmmaking during their twenty four hour space missions. The films have reached millions, and have been focused on inspiring hope in new generations to change the world around is for the better.

Some career highlights include directing, producing, editing and writing 2016’s “A Beautiful Planet”, 2010’s “Hubble 3D”, and 2002’s “Space Station 3D” just to name a few. Again, performing all of those duties involved in the production of the documentaries.
