While we haven’t even seen update 1.08 arrive past experimental, the developers of the game have already confirmed more work will be done past this release. That’s right, we’ll be seeing DayZ 1.09 being worked on immediately after the completion of this upcoming content.
For context, in testing 1.08 will feature various fixes, tweaks and fireplaces being integrated in further. This is the first big change to the game since COVID-19 caused development to halt. More details such as the original Tweet with this information can be found below.
The reply to a complaint about the content for the PS4 version ”We are currently working on the update 1.08 that will introduce bug fixes, improvements and content to DayZ. Once that is done, work on 1.09 starts.” That is linked below as well if you’d like to see the full Twitter thread where this information was sourced from.
As with all updates expect various fixes, and a development period following experimental testing on PC that’s currently underway. It has been teased that broken bones and other advancements are planned to be added down the road. Read our review of the DLC for the game, or below in our hub for expansive coverage of the series.
