The open world multiplayer zombie survival game will soon be free to subscribers of the special service. The DayZ Xbox Game Pass release date is May 7, 2020 making the game available to any tier of subscribers for the program.
This will be available only on Xbox One consoles with special deals if players are interested in purchasing the game to own, or want to get the Livonia DLC that’s also available. The agreement will see the game on the service for a number of months prior to it cycling out after that point.
For context, DayZ is a massive open world game featuring intense mechanics in terms of how players will survive. There are zombies, and of course other players online to deal with. The lobbies can have up to sixty players in regular public ones. Private servers are available with options for more, and these also contain modding efforts.
The goal of the game in general is to survive as long as possible while dealing with various aspects of the environment draining you. You’ll need to eat, drink and be wary of the differing weather conditions that roll in. Explore lost towns, various monuments and learn many of the required skills required to craft to do better in living. Watch out for others, and good luck out there survivors.
