DayZ Xbox One Patch Notes October 22nd, 2018

The DayZ Xbox One Patch Notes for October 22nd, 2018 have been revealed with a number of fixes and tweaks to the experience. This is of course the console version of the massive open world zombie survival game. Players battle against each other and zombies in a large persistent world. The patch notes can be found below, note that things tend to change over time. Restarting the game/console may be necessary and an update will need to be applied.

The DayZ Xbox One Patch Notes:
-Note: character wipe will happen, this resets your character to nothing/gives you a new random survivor, reasoning for this is below
-if the controller disconnects while the player is moving, the character stops now instead of auto-running
-fix for being unable to scroll through the online server tab
-fix for overlapping texts in the inventory
-fix for texts being displayed too small in 4K resolution
-fixed the function to invite players into your game.
-Added a logout timer and queue time: This is mostly to fight rapid server hopping. When you log out, your character will remain on the server for 15 seconds, and fast reconnecting will cause you penalties between 60 and 90 seconds. So you will still be able to log out in reasonable times while being punished for switching your server repeatedly.
-Added a new database for Xbox: The Xbox servers will have their own database machine that won't be affected by the PC maintenance and updates related to the PC branch. This database switch is connected with a complete character wipe.

These adjustments should help players with survival as its already hard enough dealing with the undead and any bandits that might be out there roaming around the desolate country landscape.
