DayZ Xbox One Snow Unlikely

The weather variants have certainly had an interesting development cycle in DayZ, but it seem as though the snow elements won’t be present in the future. At the current moment rain, wind and temperature are the dynamic elements in DayZ. They all alter your health and survival within the game. It was noted recently when inquiring about this type of weathering that ”Snow that dynamically appears will probably not happen.” There’s not really an explanation in regards to why, but it’s most likely a lot of work to implement.

That doesn’t necessarily rule out static snow however. Whatever the case, it looks as though you won’t see this condition alter your gameplay in the near future, or perhaps at anytime. It would be hard to implement this late into the development cycle, that’s the best assumption as to why.
