DayZ Xbox One Vaulting and Climbing Confirmed

The DayZ Xbox One Vaulting and Climbing confirmed as a feature being brought to the game. This will allow players to either quickly hop over things such as fences, or straight up climb terrain. The introduction of vaulting is something that would return from the original standalone version of the game. It was removed when the developers started with the new engine to rebuild the game. The climbing feature would be a brand new addition to the experience.

Within the announcement, it shows a player scaling a small wall area that would typically be a blockage for access. The new improvements would likely be similar to how zombies are already able to scale certain elements within the world. This allows them to catch people quickly. The usage of these two abilities would likely cost a certain amount of stamina to unleash, it is also unknown when these will arrive. This is the official note on the matter.

”While some features won't come back this year, we want to assure you that feature development hasn't stopped.
