The DayZ Xbox One server reset changed September 27th, 2018 revamping the existing settings to add more time. This won't exactly bring night into the console version of the standalone yet, but does present something interesting. For context, the server resets refresh the persistent world allowing new items to appear and to keep the worlds lively.
The development team had it set to two hours per reset, but that's now been changed to five hours. This switch makes it more common for weather to appear such as rain which is much more present after the tweak. That should be a fresh element to gameplay. This comes with stability improvements and allows for less interruption for those hardcore survivors. More updates are to come as DayZ Xbox One is in Xbox Game Preview with weekly adjustments thus far. You can view our hub for patch notes and details below, as well as read our preview on the game.
