February 13, 2019 at 10:44pm

Final Fantasy IX release date and pricing details have been revealed for this ported classic RPG. The title will be launching on February 13, 2019 available on Xbox One while also not being Xbox One X enhanced featuring no 4k resolution or HDR support. It is however a Xbox Play Anywhere title, buy it once digitally on console or Windows 10 PC and own it on both. The cost is $20.99 USD and $27.99 CAD at launch, note that this may change afterwards or it could go on sale.

There is only the single version of the game upon launch releasing without any additional content or enhanced bundles. The initial install size is just under 5 GB for the game. It is published and developed by Square Enix.

Final Fantasy IX is a port of the well known RPG entry in the franchise. Once again enjoy the adventure with characters and pre-rendered movies featured in high definition, as well as a new booster system with a selection of various modes such as "high speed" or "no encounters". For context into the narrative Zidane and the Tantalus Theater Troupe have kidnapped Princess Garnet, the heir of Alexandria. To their surprise, however, the princess herself yearned to escape the castle. Work through an engaging narrative with many elements and systems present. You can also ignore that and enjoy mini games such as Chocobo Hot and Cold, Jump Rope, or Tetra Master.
