Like with basically every other Gears of War release, a limited edition console will release alongside it. This will be a Gears 5 Xbox One X edition featuring a remarkable design with various other extras at $499 USD. The design features an Omen submerged in ice and snow, with cracks along the surface.
It’s like the omen is just watching you through that ice, quite something. It is also the first limited edition Xbox One X since the Project Scorpio edition. It was designed by The Coalition and the Xbox Industrial Design Team. The bundle also comes with a Gears 5 Kait Diaz limited edition wireless controller.
There’s a full game download for the Ultimate Edition of the game, and downloads for Gears of War Ultimate Edition, 2, 3 and 4. There’s also a one month membership to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold. On top of that, you get an in-game Ice Kait and Ice Jack character skins.
The controller is also available by itself for $74.99. The controller will be available on August 20, 2019. It also comes with a bonus in-game Ice Kait character skin for use when the title launches. There’s a pro charging stand that matches the controller for $49.99 that’s available starting August 27.
Moving past there, there’s special Razer gear to collect based on Gears 5. That includes a headset, a wireless keyboard and mouse. Seagate also brings a limited edition hard drive with the Gears 5 design. Read our preview of the tech test below, or check out our hub for further coverage of the franchise.
