It looks like more content from the franchise is becoming available at no cost as the Gears of War 2: Combustible Map Pack is now free on the Xbox Store. This follows the recent and permanent reduction in cost for the Gears of War 3: Forces of Nature and Fenix Rising DLC packs that are also free. You can grab the map pack from the link below and it's best to do so in case it does once again get a price point in the near future. The free price point appears to be available for all regions after checking a couple of them. This Combustible Map Pack provides three new multiplayer maps for the game and four new Achievements.
The maps are Flood, Gold Rush, and Fuel Station. Flood takes place in a small area that constantly has Imulsion rising and pushing players inwards. Gold Rush is a remake having players battle in one lower area and one higher section that are cut-off yet quite combined for battles. The final map is Fuel Station, another remake that has everyone work around this warehouse that's facing off against a Raven. This was a solid pack and worth the free download if you want to grab some new Achievements or check out the game once more on Xbox 360 or through backwards compatibility on Xbox One. We'll be sure to let you know if any other packs become available. They're how old, it makes sense they'd eventually become free.
