Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Mode Details Announced

The world of Ghost of Tsushima is set to expand with a brand new online cooperative multiplayer mode. This will be a free download for owners on the Playstation 4. It is titled “Ghost of Tsushima: Legends”. The final release date isn’t of course included, just that it will arrive in 2020.

The is an entirely new experience. It’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima.

The game’s single player campaign focuses on an open world and exploring the natural beauty of the island, but Legends is haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action.

This will allow for groups of up to four players to join one another. Pick from one of the four different classes; Samurai, Hunter, Ronin or Assassin. Each will have unique advantages and abilities to unleash in combat.

With two players, you’ll be able to enjoy a series of coop story missions that escalate in difficulty, building on the foundation of the single player campaign, but with some magical twists thrown in there. With four players there will be wave based survival missions to fight the toughest enemies out there on the island.

Supernatural Oni will also be present. There will even be a four player Raid that will arrive after the launch of Legends. Rewards, excitement and more are coming. Read our review of the game below, or check out our general platform hub for further coverage.
