Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Windows Store & Steam Release

March 12, 2019 at 5:07pm

Many years after release, and after a pile of requests. Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC is a confirmed release. The game will launch on both the Windows Store and Steam. This will allow fans to play the classic games where ever they’d like to. The release will bring the game to a new audience, and therefore expand the reach of the Master Chief. The launch will be unique for this title as it’ll be sent out in waves. The initial release will head out with Halo Reach, which will be available on Xbox One as well. From there the series will release in order starting with Halo: Combat Evolved and ending with Halo 4.

What’s special for PC, is that Halo Reach will come as a single package, instead of being split up like on console. General PC features include excellent mouse and keyboards controls. There will be support for multiple resolutions, aspect ratios, field or view sliders, and adjustable frame rates to just name a few things. Support for Xbox controllers and other PC ones will also be present. There’s no mention of cross-play support.
