The announcement of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC was met with great excitement, some details weren’t presented however. One of those aspects was whether the game would support cross-play between Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. It would seem that won’t be the case from SXSW 2019 where 343 Industries mentioned it won’t be a feature. They have however mentioned a desire to implement this type of option into the game to expand the player base. This is expanded upon as they mention they’d like to look into it post-launch of the PC version.
They also want the community to be the ones pushing for this, and letting the developers know what they’d like to see when it’s implemented. The mix of consoles and PC often cause issues, with opinions being all over on the discussion of the latter’s input granting an advantage.
