Halo Infinite Loot Boxes Won't Cost Real Money

Loot boxes are in almost every game these days and while they might be present in Halo Infinite, they won't cost real money. They haven't exactly determined all factors as to the depth of microtransaction integration, but this aspect won't be something players can purchase with their cash. It may be an in-game purchase or real costs may come elsewhere, but anything under the setup of random loot distribution won't feature it.

That follows a quote from Chris Lee, Studio Head FPS at 343 with "We’re still working through final plans and will share more when we are ready, but I can definitely say that Halo Infinite will not include real-money loot boxes." It should be noted that the previous entry Halo 5: Guardians had card REQ packs that could be purchase in-game or with real money. There's currently no release date or really even details on Halo Infinite, we will be following news as it develops for the title.
