Minecraft: Dungeons Announced Release Date in 2019

Minecraft: Dungeons announced with a release date in 2019 that has been adjusted since. This is a brand new Mojang game based within the existing universe of Minecraft. It’s an all new action adventure game inspired by classic dungeon crawlers, where you’ll constantly discover new weapons and items that will help you defeat a ruthless swarm of new and nasty mobs. There's loot to earn and a sense of progression within darkened mystical halls. You’ll fight or flee through canyons, swamps and of course mines if that's your sort of thing.

Work in up to a group of four player coop as you save villagers or battle against the Arch-Illager! There are a wildly distinct selection of levels present to work through. This was announced during Minecon 2018 for an unknown release date in 2019. It appears to have enhanced visuals and at this time will just be available on PC, most likely in the Windows 10 PC store. Full details on the release have not been given, it seems like more news will randomly appear on this over time. For now, check out our Minecraft hub for all coverage on the massively popular game or read a review of the Mega Dungeon Crawler from the Minecraft Store.

Update: Minecraft Dungeons will launch April 2020 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms. It’ll be available on Xbox Game Pass as well, it’s inspired by classic dungeon crawlers, and is a brand new action game from Mojang.
