Two well known recent entries in franchises have been given a boost in visual rendering quality and the performance necessary to make it work properly. Battlefield V and Metro Exodus both now incorporate support for real-time ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS (deep-learning super-sampling). Implementing ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS will give players the best of both worlds with great visuals and performance.
Metro Exodus uses NVIDIA RTX at launch for ray traced global illumination and ambient occlusion to add natural, realistic light. NVIDIA has worked closely with 4A Games to deliver this enhancement. Battlefield V was the very first title to support real-time ray traced reflections and has now added support for DLSS. This is set to give players a boost of up to 40% for performance. With these optimizations there will be no difference to visual quality, just an increase in how well it runs.
