Playstation 5 Media Remote Release Date, Details

This is the Playstation 5 Media Remote, an accessory for the console that will launch alongside the console on November 12, 2020. The price will be $29.99 USD and $39.99 CAD. It is expected to release in all regions that the console is to be launched within.

This is a remote control that will feature a built-in microphone to navigate movies and streaming services with ease. This suggests to some degree, that voice assistants may be supported on the platform. That isn’t confirmed, but does such things such as Alexa or Google Assistant integration.

The design features some fairly standard buttons in a minimalistic white aesthetic theme that matches the console. You’re able to adjust the volume, and have a TV option built right in. The microphone is right at the top. There’s also the ability to mute, and of course arrow based guidance.

A back button is there, along with a menu and skip along controls. Finally, there are four spots at the bottom that are unknown in regards to their functionality. This is a fairly standard looking remote in regards to something that typically releases for consoles around their start.
