Rare Developer Threatens to Remove Fishing from Sea of Thieves

The Rare Executive Producer, Joe Neate has threatened to remove fishing from Sea of Thieves, a feature that’s been set for the big anniversary update. This is done in a joking manner as mentions “All everyone has asked for is fishing.” He goes on to say “I am going to be watching the data on April 30th and if you aren’t all sitting there reeling them in for hours we are taking it straight out again (eye glass emoticon).” Many developers find it humorous to work on certain games and get a pile of requests in regards to a single feature.

It’s even more funny to see that particular feature get neglected, it should be great fun to see how this all plays out when fishing arrives in Sea of Thieves. This new feature will allow you to go out there and collect some fish with your mates, in a way that only Rare could provide. To completely clarify, he’s joking about this and fishing is unlikely to go away, just a fun news piece. Read about first person in the game below, or check out the hub for additional coverage.
