As previously reported, Deep Silver acquired the rights to the greatly loved TimeSplitters IP. That well known series will be having something done with it as one of the series’ creators, Steve Ellis has joined THQ Nordic to assist with the franchise.
He will be helping them plot the course for the future of the series. It’s not really known what will be done, but the publisher typically likes to develop the IPs that it does end up owning. The full quote and additional details can be found below.
”Last year Deep Silver acquired the much-loved TimeSplitters IP. We’re delighted to announce that one of the series’ creators, Steve Ellis, has joined us to help plot the future course for this franchise.” That’s right, something is being done with the IP which should be exciting for fans.
It could either be a remaster of sorts, or perhaps a brand new sequel and of course a reboot is another option. Fans will have to wait and see what is going to happen as this sounds like early planning. Read about the acquisition from last year below, or check out our game hubs for other coverage.
