The development team behind Warface is already looking at, and communicating with the companies behind the next generation of consoles. We recently had an interview with Ivan Pabiarzhyn, Warface Franchise Lead at myGames and we asked about whether or not they were considering releasing the title on Xbox Scarlett and Playstation 5 which can be read about further below.

For context, this is a free to play shooter that’s been on PC for years having recently been brought to the current gen consoles. It features both competitive and cooperative gameplay through PVP and PVE modes.

Our question was, What was the process like in bringing Warface to the current generation platforms, are there plans to place the game on next generation consoles Xbox Scarlett/PlayStation 5?

With Ivan’s response as ”We’ve already started communicating with the Sony and Microsoft about PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett. For obvious reasons, we cannot announce anything solid at the moment. The engine that powers Warface, CryEngine, was heavily modified by our team to be able to run smoothly on a vast variety of systems, including consoles. With that in mind, we are definitely looking into what the next-generation consoles can offer us, especially in terms of increased performance and graphical fidelity.”

You can read the full interview below for additional context and the general Warface hub for additional coverage of the game.
