There’s going to be more Xbox games on Steam in the future as Microsoft is making a push on the PC platform going forward. They’re going to work on providing cross-platform play and cross-network play across consoles and Windows 10 PC. They want to build communities for those players regardless of the store or platform they’ve chosen. With that they’re going to make their Xbox Game Studios titles available in multiple stores aside from just their own Microsoft Store, from their launch.

Alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection you’ll see more than twenty games published there. It’ll start with Gears 5 and Age of Empires: I, II, III: Definitive Editions. They are working to enable more choice in which store you can find our Xbox Game Studios titles in the future. A goal is to also enable features such as voice, text chat, LFG, friends lists and cross-play options. This starts functionally within the Xbox Game Bar that recently go improved upon.
