Xbox Wireless Display App Now Available

March 13, 2019 at 2:39am

After what feels like ages, the Wireless Display app has finally released on Xbox One. This was a surprise release, and a welcomed one for the special features. The app lets you wirelessly project your Windows or Android based devices to your Xbox One console. Capabilities wise it uses Continuum and it takes up 2.53 MB being published by Microsoft. It’s a free app, so it costs nothing to acquire. Detail wise it’ll allow you to instantly share photos without having to sync through a cloud service.

You can share video clips, project your favorite websites with Microsoft Edge and mirror Android games to your TV. This also allows you to play your PC games on Xbox while using the Xbox controller as a gamepad. It’ll also allow you to use your PC on your Xbox one and use the Xbox controller as a mouse/keyboard. Projecting protected content like Netflix or Hulu is not supported. You can read about the process of Discord on the console, or the general platform hub for additional coverage below.
