Xbox Game Pass Now Includes New Xbox First Party Releases

The Xbox Game Pass has been given a bold addition as the subscription based service will now include future first party releases. Not only will the pass feature these games, they'll be available right from their launch. With Sea of Thieves releasing on March 20, 2018 it will be included within the pass on that day. That includes almost all of the top Xbox first party games going forward starting in 2018. Notable initial new games will include Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2.

Going forward titles from massive Xbox franchises including Halo, Gears of War and Forza will be included as well at launch. It's a fairly big deal and adds an extra level of value to the monthly subscription. The Xbox Game Pass already includes over 100 and counting games with new ones being added or removed monthly. It displays a further commitment the company has to the digital offering allowing subscribers to download and play the full versions of the game. If they like the title they can choose to purchase it at any point from the Xbox Store.
