Xbox One X Enhanced Xbox 360 Games Require No Code Tweaking

While Xbox Backwards Compatibility is nothing new, the act of enhancing Xbox 360 games is something that's only been done a couple times at this point. It's a rather interesting update to have the Xbox One X play those older games at a higher resolution while not at all altering the code. This is apparent after the Senior Game Designer at Playground Games mentioned for the original Forza Horizon that nothing was done on their end to alter the game. This is what he specifically mentioned, "The original Forza Horizon is now enhanced on Xbox One X and without us having to touch the code!".

This suggests a similar situation with the other games and the results are remarkable. These games are clean around the edges, play perfectly fine and look as though they just released, minus some of the aged gameplay elements. It's a great tool for the preservation of games and very interesting that it doesn't take anything on the publisher of developer side of things. Anyways, the games run at a higher resolution at 9X the pixel count with increased texture details and antialiasing. The other games included with Forza Horizon in the enhancement update batch were Crackdown, Fable Anniversary and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
