While at E3 2019 I was able to attend a booking for Zombie Army 4: Dead War, one of the primary questions I had for most developers was about the next generation. The latest consoles are rumored to arrive in 2020, so it’s a prime time to inquire about whether certain games will be touched up for what’s to come. I was told at my booking that Rebellion is currently focused on this generation of consoles, with enhancements being optimized for Xbox One X and Playstation 4 Pro platforms.

They currently have no interest in spending development time on the Xbox Scarlett or the Playstation 5 console platforms. That’s not to say they won’t look into it, but they’re currently set on making sure the game runs the best it can with the platforms that the current generation as provided. For context, this is a cooperative zombie shooter that takes elements from the Sniper Elite franchise while branching as a unique spin-off.
