This is a rather intriguing sort of peripheral that while niche, can be of great help with your Pokémon Go catching experience. It’s a game that takes a considerable amount of time, effort and dedication to be successful in. It’s also a rather large global sort of experience, one that I’ve spent numerous hours playing while out hiking or exploring the local area.
It’s a nice addition to what I’m doing, but often I’d rather just at times be catching stuff without the hassle of actually opening the app and distracting myself from what I’m doing. This is where the Brook Auto Catch Reviver Plus comes into the fold. This is a simple wrist worn offering that allows you to catch the Pokémon around you without the extra hassle of turning on the game. That’s somewhat awesome, I would suppose the only negative is that you catch too many Pokémon.
It definitely will fill up your inventory, and eat up your balls so keep that in mind when using it. This can also go beyond just catching the various creatures that are awaiting in the world around you. It also spins stops, the Pokestops so you can passively collect items as well. Again, the only negative there being that your inventory gets filled up. I can’t really complain, it’s relatively simplistic and it gets the job done without extra effort or input being needed from you.
It notes eighteen hours of battery life and this does indeed seem to last a very long time. It has been a tad colder where I live since it’s winter when I’ve been reviewing this. So with that being a factor it still seems to work fine and effectively across some walks I’ve enjoyed.
It’s also IP67 waterproof and dustproof so it shouldn’t have too many issues for regular environmental adjustments. Rain, maybe the odd bit of snowfall in the bitter cold that’s been snapping through. Anyways, it works well for what it’s supposed to do. I did find the reading pamphlet to be a little overwhelming, and the initial connecting again to feel similar to that first though.
But once things are setup and you’re good to go it seemed to run fine and catch what whatever it could. It connects via Bluetooth and seems to hold its signal fine if I’m playing actively or using this in a passive capacity. It piggybacks on the old Pokemon Go Plus system so it’s definitely a native offering in regards to how it works with the app.
I, in general think it’s rather effective, just keep in mind you’ll have tons of Pokemon and items to deal with. You can of course checkmark the choices here and make some choices in regards to the actual device. I did find the whole display system on this one, while simplistic to also be perhaps a bit confusing at times too.
The screen imaging is minimal, and the look of the device is quite discreet visually which I appreciated. It works with IOS or Android devices and I was using the former with the iphone 13 Pro. Do keep in mind that there may be some limitations device wise for connection, but it worked fine with the latest iphone model.
The Auto Catch Reviver Plus delivers, assisting my Pokémon catching and taking a bit of the work load off. It runs fine, it’s minimal in design and it does what it aims to provide. It’ll catch you a pile of Pokémon that pop up while you may not be directly active and that’s the same for Pokestops you might pass. You may wonder the appeal of the device as it does take away a core aspect of the experience.
I would say that this assists your abilities to play in circumstances where you want to enjoy the world around you, or if you’re say working and still want to get catching. I can definitely see where this would be a popular and helpful item for many that play the game. It won’t catch every single Pokemon you come across as this isn’t a cheating device if you’re wondering that, the creatures will flee regularly as if you were playing.
It won’t automatically get you shinies, but it will increase the odds that you do come across them and collect them. I think it delivers a helpful addition to my Pokemon catching experience. Oh, and be wary of your ball inventory as this thing will gobble them up while catching. That should somewhat be expected however.
