The Hatch Restore was showcased at CES 2020 which is a device aimed to assist with sleep routine improvement. It is set to release in early 2020 with no announced price point. This will provide a personalized sleep routine from dusk to dawn where users can customize how they fall asleep, stay asleep and wake up.

There’s a sunrise alarm where users can awaken to their own gentle sunrise with a light that gradually brightens before the alarm sounds. Sleep sounds will provide elements such as white noise, or water and wind with a library that can be browsed for one’s best sleep. Finally there’s a blue reading light to encourage relaxation to help users wind down and cue their body to pass out.

This statement was noted. ”After receiving such a positive response to our sleep products for children, we wanted to expand our reach to also help adults get the healthy sleep they used to enjoy—before screens, before stress and before kids,” said Ann Crady Weiss, co-founder and CEO of Hatch.

I saw this at the event, the light is vibrant and largely calming in nature. It’s quite interesting, and I could see this being a nice alternative to the traditional alarm clock. Less about being rudely awakened, and more of a gradual step into your next day.
