Playmobil Ghostbusters Figures Set 70175 Review

In celebration of the Ghostbusters 35th anniversary I was lucky to check out the latest sets from Playmobil. One of these packs was the set of the four core members of the ghostbusting team. This is a traditional set with their regular outfits, and signature tools.

The team includes Zeddemore, Venkman, Spengler and Stantz. There are thirty total pieces that make up this package. It’s a simple, yet straight forward way to add this stellar team to your collection.

You could use them for either a collectible setup, or perhaps to play with if you’d like to integrate them with other Playmobil toys. Each of the members come with gear, and their unique look. They come across as regular Playmobil characters, while still having that signature style you know and love from the movies.

Stantz includes a traditional proton pack, and some vision goggles. Spengler also has a proton pack, but comes with his scanner. Venkman is the only member that has been slimed and he’s carrying a radio along with a proton pack. Finally we round the team out with Zeddemore, he’s got a proton pack and a trap. This trap includes a switch he holds and the actual trap.

To the side of these characters is a piece of slime, an aspect of this particular collection. It’s a very straight forward product that requires no assembly which I appreciated. They all stand up well, and can be used for display or play easily. It’s neat that they could capture a particular scene for each, just by what they’re carrying.

The Playmobil Ghostbusters Figures Set 70175 delivers the core team in their authentic style with the classic weapons and look you remember. They hit the nostalgic spot well being a solid presentation of this iconic team. They each have a unique tool, and could be used for whatever you’d like. Play with them, or just set them up for display and they work well for either.

It’s a nice package to boost your Playmobil character roster and they’ll fit in well. It’s great to see this representation of the team and it’s a fun way to present them. It’s rather refreshing to have the option to just pick them up without necessarily needing anything extra. They capture the spirit of the franchise, in a neat and compact format.
