Scooby-Doo is the latest licensing set option from Playmobil, and it’s a really great one to have. That being clearly evident with the amazing selection of sets that have released over the year. With that, we have this wonderful mansion. It’s full of depth, featuring interesting characters and some fun secrets to discover as well.

It’s a fairly compact set, meaning it’s decent for storage aside from a little back portion where there are stairs that stick out. It really is quite amazing, and perfect for fans of the characters. Anyways, the exterior of the mansion is really spooky and cool looking. It carries a purple and blue aesthetic with a vibrant green trim. The windows are boarded up with ghastly sheets and it’s just super neat to look at.

Once you’re inside things are very open with brown boards and a number of items to use for furniture. I would have perhaps liked a bit more density on the inside, a furniture item or two more but honestly it’s plenty cluttered. This area also has some fun surprises. That includes a moving chandelier; switching doors, floor fall outs and even some trap stairs which are fun.

Past that, a fireplace type of chute and also a rather fun light system to use. That is a coffin which provides some lighting choices and also various noises, it’s a lot of fun to have and adds to the atmosphere presented here. It’s quite an intricate interior, with many nice open spots to adjust for the various items you’ve been provided.

When it comes to characters you get Fred and Daphne alongside Scooby-Doo representing Mystery Inc. Then you can look towards the creepy opposition where there’s a very cool vampire. Oh, a cat and some bats too. There are also a number of items to furnish the mansion with. Chairs, tables and varied miscellaneous objects.

Some of these are sillier, some add to the details within the location. Whatever the case, everything feels on brand with Scooby-Doo which is definitely important. There are many options to adjust this place, fill it with items and just use it as a fun backdrop set. They really hit the mark on interactions one can make with this.

There are many areas that hold secrets to them, to interact with in a typical on brand way. Trap stairs, a cool chandelier and the chimney are a few to mention.

Then there’s the cool light coffin system that’s fun to play around with. The sounds, lights and just the compact form factor of that extra should be enjoyable to most. Then you have this really gorgeous exterior that feels spooky yet still in the spirit of fun. The interior is more plain, but that makes sense since it’s an area you fill up and use for play.

It has many wall displays, and of course you’re provided with a range of furnishings to change how this all looks. You get some good character options, and it just comes together in a very satisfying way. It’s a fun set to use, and I’m sure fans of Scooby-Doo will find this absolutely delightful.
