At the Calgary Expo 2021 there was a Sons of Anarchy panel at the BMO Center front stage where they went over the show. The showcase event started with some great stage presence from these two individuals with heavy bits of sarcasm. The two stars of the show were Ron Perlman and Mark Boone Junior. There was a mention of where Ron was dragged along with his bike by a truck for the camera to give the appearance of riding.

This was after dealing with some motorcycle accidents that had happened prior. Both of the actors had dealt with some serious injury issues while learning the motorcycles, and when using them to film parts of the series. For Ron when dealing with his death in the show, he was told that it would happen at the beginning of the season, whereas Boone was given two days notice about his death.

They go forward to talk about spending years on a set with the same actors, where they became a brotherhood and that it can leave a hole in your heart once you go separate ways. For Boone, the Elvis character was something the show brought to him. It was part of how he actually ended up getting the role in the first place.

For Ron Clay was actually one of the most difficult roles he had to do, as Clay has very foreign values to him and thinks very differently. Boone’s favorite scene was the discussion about Clay’s murder whereas Ron’s favorite scene was when it’s discovered that Clay has killed Opie’s family member and had to battle back. That about sums everything up, we have additional panel and other coverage from the show in our hub.
