Calgary Expo 2023 James McAvoy Panel

At the Calgary Expo 2023 there was a James McAvoy panel at the BMO Center main stage where he went over his career. It was mostly focused on a Q&A style presentation, with lots of questions and some good answers along the way.

For a bit of a strange starting chat he went over how during the filming of The Bubble; which was a Netflix Original film that was filmed during the Covid Pandemic, that he accidently tackled Karen Gillan to the ground. It nearly put her in the hospital. Following a strange note, someone from the crowd oddly asked about what people should do if they try to approach him in public, whether he’s alone or with family.

It was a witty quick note that people should always touch his bottom first, with dinner first prior to slipping in the tongue. In all honesty it was noted to leave people alone, or if you do be respectful and don’t be awkward like those that film or take a picture of him from a distance without chatting first.

When it comes to celebrity interactions he was most excited, and or giddy to see Jonathan Frakes there since he loves Star Trek. Moving onto more film discussion X-Men Days of Future Past is considered the favorite movie of his house. He took away from the roles of Charles that you need to not be self absorbed in reaching goals and that he does look okay with a shaven head.

He was also struck by the energy of Jennifer Lawrence when working with her on the X-Men films. She’s fast and witty, funny and loud. For James McAvoy DC film wise for a role of his choice he decided to pass answering.
