Forza Horizon 3 E3 2016 Preview

Forza has been the premiere driving franchise for a number of years at this point and after a stellar sixth Motorsport it's time to hit the country side once more for Horizon 3. Horizon 2 was a spectacular racing game with opens fields and a large landscape to explore, that only seems to have been expanded on as this title is already massive.

In the E3 demo we were launched out into the open road hot in the seat of the new Lamborghini Centenario which shined as it raced past the opposition. After a short bit of driving I was then passed onto an off-road ATV buggy to hit the dirt filled hills of the country side. This was also short having me drive over some rough hills to create massive jumps and it sure looked glorious.

The final part of this opening race segment was hitting the beach once more in the suped up power car to see the shine of the sand and the ocean. It was basically just a pump up section that each Forza does to show off what's new and it certainly did get me excited about the new title. The last Horizon 2 was just packed with gameplay and I had such a blast racing around in that so I'm sure this one will be just as fun. With that done we went into a showcase event as they've returned in style and are even crazier than before.

In this showcase event we raced someone that was driving or well riding in a jeep being swung around by a helicopter. While that was happening I was pursuing the group through the heavy forest and splashing around in the massive puddles. The race was close as the showcase events usually are and also rather tense as well with what I would call an epic ending.

I can't wait to see what else they do as the events were crazy in Horizon 2 and they've already shown they're interested in stepping it up. It's just absolutely beautiful and I'm surprised they were able to make the game look far better than the previous titles despite those also looking great for the time. This latest entry also adds in four player drop-in/drop-out cooperative multiplayer across Xbox One and Windows 10. While I didn't get to see that in action I'm sure it'll be quite great to get into as it'll stream line the coop experience for the better.

The game will also feature the largest list of cars ever and seems to have massive landscapes. So far it races just as well as past titles while offering the fun of Horizon and potential power of being on PC. I'm particularly looking forward to 60fps and 4k as Forza 6 Apex looks great, I can only imagine how well the more scenic Horizon will shine. That's all I have for this one in what I played, but I'll be certainly covering it at launch.
