Marvel's Spider-Man: Silver Lining is the third and final DLC in the post-launch content that's part of the "The City That Never Sleeps" story line. Here we get a conclusion to the main narrative that's been building over the episodes, while also setting the stage for future events. We get a conclusive look at our whole Hammerhead ordeal, and a much better connection with Silver Sable. I really liked the dynamic that was growing between her and Spider-Man, I'd love to see that continued going forward.

We obviously were given more random side missions to take part in, nice extras for those that are interested. They are the typical, go around collecting or doing tasks type of setup. This portion of the overall story was also better in that it wasn't as extreme as the others. It still had a large difficulty curve compared to the main game, but the areas here were presented in a better format for further freedom. This also helped move the story line by quite a bit and sets up some interesting situations.

The Conclusion

Marvel's Spider-Man: Silver Lining was a solid way to end the extra content while giving additional closure to the narrative. It certainly builds towards a sequel in many ways and it's important as it completely changes the point time wise of where this tale wraps up. This was the best of the DLC as well, while still somewhat difficult. It certainly wasn't as claustrophobic as the past releases were, leaves room for more freedom.

Some of the side stories were left alone which was weird, seemed as though it was building towards something more which I imagine it is. There were some neat moments throughout as well, and I loved the combination team-up. Silver Sable working in the same space as Spider-Man was exciting, and the dynamic is fascinating to see in action. There were some distinctly fresh areas to visit and this was decently long.
