The First Purge 4k: Real or Fake?

The First Purge is not real 4k shot and mastered at 2.8k. The film also features HDR and Dolby Surround 7.1 providing brighter, deeper and more lifelike colors. This movie will take full advantage of your 4k TV and even look better when viewed at a lower resolution when using the 4k disc/digital copy. The release to home video was on October 2, 2018 with a run time of 98 minutes. The disc includes a selection of special features and bonus content including a deleted scene.

UHD Main Feature: 2160p Ultra High Definition 16x9 2:39:1 with Dolby Surround 7.1 for sound. The Special Features are not in 4k and don't support HDR.

About the Film

Go back to when The Purges just started and get context behind the origins of this crazy American experience. It brings the horror you'd recall from the previous entries, but acts as a prequel origin story to the tales that follow it later on. It's a different sort of perspective on this jumping backwards to the reasons why things became as crazy as they did for so many years later. New characters, fresh tales and the same purging time you look forward to.
