While The Outer Worlds is very much a RPG experience that feels similar to Fallout, or say The Witcher 3. This game doesn’t actually contain any romance options with companions.
That’s right, as much as you’d like to emotionally connect with Parvati you can’t actually accomplish that within the game. That line is mentioned as a bit of a joke, that aside The Outer Worlds romance guide doesn’t really need to exist because in the main game you can’t have it with any characters.
You can however connect with the people that you work with by going on their companion quests which show up occasionally in the menu. You can also sometimes talk to the person you take with you, to get an idea of how they’re feeling.
It’s more of a friendship than anything else within this title. This is probably not one was hoping to hear in regards to the title, but that’s the state of it at launch. It may change post-launch with extra content or through DLC. No fade out to black as the crew gets busy, that’s just not a choice.
