While sitting isn’t exactly something you spend a lot of time doing in Minecraft, the use of a chair can be a nice aesthetic option. I asked our grand builder Grumbly to work on a chair design, to come up with some ideas and he delivered far more than expected. With that, here are some design ideas to make your living spaces feel a bit more comfortable to the eye.
To start, with the far right you’ll get a door solution to the problem. This one requires a wood slab at the base, then a sign on either side to add an arm form with a trap door being an alternative here. You’ll then top it off by placing a door at the back. It’s that easy, this one stands tall and is neat to have within any room.
The next chair design is simpler, and more decorated. It features a wooden slab, picture frames on the side and then a trap door at the back. You can also swap out picture frames for a sign if you’d like to. I’d also like to mention that the wood or material options can be swapped out for any designs if you want to.
Be creative, switch it up and use these as a template for what you want to make. Things get a bit more complex from here, this next option is for a larger chair. This is created by placing two stairs facing each other and a door at the back. You can also use two wooden slabs and two trap doors on the side of them with doors at the back. The next creation that follows is similar, to the one prior to the double door.
They are just altered slightly with more combination selections. The final chair design is based around a table style. This one has you building into the ground and creating a float effect with signs and combining that to the table as shown.
