The ever so protective wolves are a classic mob creature within the wonderful block world of Minecraft. These regular dogs can be found roaming within forest type areas including the following; taigas, giant tree taigas and snowy taigas. They're typically around their favorite food, which are bones. This type of item will need to be taken from skeletons.
The key to taming them is the use of these bones. This is probably something many will wonder about as mating animals in the game is often desired as you can get an off-spring and have more of them roaming around. This is a rather easy process, very simple with these creatures. Once they are tamed, they will no longer accept additional bones. For breeding; basically feed two of the creatures meat of any common variant until hearts appear over their head. The types include Porkchops; Chicken, Beef, Mutton, Rabbit or Rotten Flesh.
That's right, they basically just get together easily with this. You may actually have to manually get them closer together though not necessary. It's also important to remove the bones from your hand after doing so as others will be drawn to you instead of their mate which makes them harder to tame. When bred, the offspring may run away. Feed them the previously mentioned meat types to accelerate their growth.
When you do tame them, they will get a fancy collar. You can tap on them to sit still, they will also follow you if not told to sit. They will attack anything that hits you, hunt what you strike and will generally protect you. They can be fed meat types to be healed.
