Minecraft Movie, What is It?

The game just keeps on growing and with that comes the Minecraft Movie. You may be wondering what exactly this film is, or when it’s coming out. All currently available details that are available thus far shall be presented.

The Minecraft Movie release date is March 4, 2022. This is a live action and full length film. This will tell the story of a teenage girl and her unlikely group of adventurers. After the malevolent Ender Dragon sets out on a path of destruction, they must save their beautiful, block overworld.
Peter Sollett is directing and it will be released through Warner Bros. Jon Berg was noted as a producer and Jon Spaihts will serve as an executive producer. They also go on to mention that the movie, like the game, is for the fans.

It has gone through many iterations behind the scenes and it looks like things are officially coming together with full support from Mojang. A fun note is that it will also be presented in IMAX.
