The Minecraft The Nightmare Before Christmas Mash-Up Pack is a Store World that offers a completely fresh adventure within the game. Created by Minecraft this pack provides a mash-up type of experience. This provides an overhaul to the core experience with new textures; character skins, music and a world.

It perfectly captures the aesthetic, and creepy tones that this film has wonderfully showcased for so many years. It brings the well loved music of Halloween, and creates a split. You get the regular dark world of this town, along with a snowy Christmas version. It’s a decently large map, with the town being perfectly modeled. It also carries the outside tree area to connect the spots and some of the mountainous backdrop terrain as well.

It does have an awkward outside empty grass spot for some of the surrounding space, but it’s generally not bad. It captures the world well, but doesn’t necessarily go too far beyond that aspect of it. The forty skins are very well designed, with a lot of 3D usage to properly recreate each of the core characters you would expect from the film. Everyone is there, and it doesn’t get better than that quite honestly.

The Conclusion

This The Nightmare Before Christmas Mash-Up Pack from Minecraft is an excellent map, it presents a solid world that does capture this film well. I know this is a beloved property, one that still holds strong for many despite its age so this should be a magical journey to take. At the same time I was still hoping for more scale to it, or an extra bit of wow factor that we’ve seen out of similar packs.

You do get all of the iconic characters and the skins work is great here. I also liked listening to that classic music, and enjoying the changed theme. It’s a great pack for sure, but one that could have used just something a little more epic to it. I do on that note appreciate the snow version, a neat twist.
