This latest addition to the Xbox Backwards Compatible games library is now available bringing a single new title to the program. Now as of May 24, 2018 we have only one fresh title available on Xbox One and further consoles sourced from the Xbox 360. The list includes Battlefield 1943 as a Xbox Backwards Compatible game. This means you can just download it digitally if previously owned to enjoy the game once more. This title is also available through EA Access if you subscribe to that service, it can be downloaded right away. The game is only digital based, you can also install previously owned digital content from it such as maps or cosmetic items from the ready to install portion of the game area. Battlefield 1943 will run exactly like how it did on Xbox 360, yet perform much better overall.
This was a celebration of history as you battle across three iconic maps from Battlefield 1942. They were slightly updated and revamped as a digital offering for the Xbox 360. It was a lot of fun enjoying nostalgic action from a simpler time in the series. It had a full ranking system, authentic vehicles, weapons and many options to play with others online. The game should be available to play right away though it may take some time for the servers to fully refresh for them, but they should all be available as of the posted date above. This title joins over 470 titles available on the program and it continues to grow all the time.
