The latest entry in the Far Cry series from Ubisoft is set to be announced in the near future. That is of course the sixth main entry in the series. The Far Cry 6 release date is February 18, 2021 for Xbox One; Xbox Series X, Playstation 5, Playstation 4 and PC platforms.
It’s noted as providing a free upgrade for those that switch over to the next generation version. The setting and details about the game can be found below. For quick details this is a single player game that also features two player multiplayer. On Playstation it’ll require PS Plus to use the online functionality.
This takes place in Yara, a tropical paradise that’s been frozen in time. As the dictator of Yara, Anton Castillo is intent on restoring his nation back to its former glory by any means. He’s joined by his son, Diego who is following in his bloody footsteps. Their ruthless oppression has ignited a revolution in this area. You’ll play as Dani Rojas, a local Yaran and become a guerrilla fighter to liberate the nation.
This is apparently the largest Far Cry playground to date across jungles, beaches and the Esperanza (capital city of Yara). You’ll employ makeshift weapons, vehicles and the Amigos. These Amigos are the new fangs for hire to burn the tyrannical regime to the ground. Read our review of the most recent entry in the series below, or check out the franchise hub for further coverage.
