According to Ina Gelbert, head of Xbox France a number of Xbox One games from the Xbox Game Studios collection will be given Xbox Series X Optimized updates. This basically means that the games will be given various visual and performance upgrades among other smaller tweaks to improve the experience.
This news comes from Xboxygen, with details on that found below. Currently the confirmed leader for this upgrade is Gears 5 where it will now feature above Ultra PC settings with multiplayer targeting 120fps.
This is largely due to the Gears of War franchise being a flagship for new feature testing over this past generation. While nothing else has been officially noted I’ll place a few titles that are likely candidates of this Smart Delivery feature.
This includes Forza Horizon 4; Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Halo 5: Guardians, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Sea of Thieves, The Outer Worlds and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Minecraft isn’t noted as that will likely be seeing a brand new Bedrock iteration for the Xbox Series X platform as is tradition.
