It’s great to be able to play, and in Minecraft Dungeons coop will be a big part of gameplay. You’re going to be able to enjoy the entire game cooperatively with up to four players. This can be experienced locally, or online.
That’s right, you can enjoy four player splitscreen or just be part of a four player multiplayer team online. It's easy to invite players to join you online, cross-play is planned post-launch of the title. You will not be able to search for matches online if you have a local splitscreen party of any size working together however.
That’s a great setup for those that like playing with friends, but not for those that want random experiences. You will not be able to matchmake with others if you have no friends available. For context, this is a dungeon crawling title that’s all about loot collection.
The game is set to release on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass, releasing on May 26, 2020. There will be many ways to play, activities to take part in and the experience will also be different every time you go to play it.
