The long awaited Minecraft Super Duper Graphics Pack has been cancelled by Mojang after the developer notes their inability to get it working with satisfactory performance on the various platforms. This was a massive proposed boost for the game that was announced during E3 2017. It was supposed to be a showcase of what the Xbox One X could do. The pack was then expanded upon and it proved to be too technically demanding.

It was a very popular and anticipated pack that the group sort of hid over time, aiming not to talk about it until the point where it has been quietly cancelled. They also note ”We realise this is disappointing to some of you – there was a lot of enthusiasm for Super Duper from inside and outside the studio – but unfortunately, we aren’t happy with how the pack performed across devices.” This will certainly be disappointing to many that were looking forward to this new way to experience the game.
