Orcs Must Die! is a long running strategic franchise from Robot Entertainment. It’s all about defending Rifts while grinding through orcs using various traps to do so. There’s also a quirky and fun story sitting there in the background as well.

The games each provide a sense of progression as the core group ages and more orcs dash into battle in order to be annihilated. The campaigns often offer various challenges and difficulties.

Coop play has also been a staple in some of the releases, as has the endless mode for continuous mulching of your main foes in battle. There was also a multiplayer only PVP spin-off called Unchained that did not last.
